Jun Xian grew up in Penang, Malaysia. As a young boy, he carried a red panda doll sewn by his mother from old baju — which he named Líng shí (零食) — with him everywhere he went. He imagined they traveled the world tasting delicious foods of all varieties, but insisted that Líng shí had the fiercest of sweet tooths. The doll was lost as he was chased into the woods near his home by a fearsome red giant. Sadly, most of his family was killed that same night. Jun Xian then vowed that he would never run helplessly from a giant again, and thus took a sword in hand.
Jun continued to study martial arts and swordsmanship into adulthood. He was called "Wind Dancer" by many in Penang for his curious ability to create gusts of wind with his blade and tread upon the air as if he were lighter than it.
Exactly nine years following the loss of his family and his cherished panda doll, the red giant returned to strike Penang once more. Jun Xian courageously confronted it, but their skirmish was interrupted by a blinding flash of dazzling light and what seemed a sudden clap of thunder. The giant had gone again — but sitting before Jun Xian was a red panda; not a doll, but a living, breathing animal that looked at him with curiosity and affection. The two were thus inseparable, and Jun Xian named him Líng shí.
Being that both Jun Xian and Líng shí have insatiable appetites, they travel the world in search of new and interesting foods and flavors to try.
WEAPON OF CHOICE:
FLOWER-ADORNED BLADE
Sozo’s blessings to mortals are few, but he did grant Jun Xian’s blade the ability to conjure strong gusts of wind on which he can step as lightly as flower petals dancing upon it.
