KALA
Kala has had many names as time and death incarnate: The Herald to Worlds, The Great Calamity, and so on. He was the first life force to emerge from the Leash of Chaos after the Great Disparity with the cataclysmic power to destroy and reshape the universe. Only other Farers have truly witnessed him as the composition of his body is so potent that most forms of matter are unstable in his presence.
Some stories of Kala depict him as a merciless and ruinous god while others believe his appearance signals the end of the world and an age of peace. One of the most notable accounts of Kala describe his wandering the deeps of space in search of a consort that would a balance his destructive energy by a great force of gravity and that his being might aid him in keeping the powers and ambitions of other Farers in check, especially those of evil. Exaggerations, perhaps, or embellished fantasy stories; no one truly knows but that he appears with bright golden eyes, a head aflame, and a body aglow with a beautiful light.
The earthbound demigod, Amir Tatakera, once sang a song of Kala to his lover thusly:
”Look, see the Herald to Worlds,
of Time and of Death,
come to burn it all away,
and for that which elude the both
Fear only when he sleeps,
All is reborn and rebuilt for his waking
if none but a dream to most,
then travel across Time and Death,
his consort surely go.”
