Miguel comes from quite the lineage of footballers: his father, Fabián Carrizales Jr., and his grandfather, Fabián Carrizales Sr., are both among the most respected names the sport has produced in Venezuela. Miguel was recruited to Club Deportivo Lucero by Héctor de Santos and moved to Peru when he was twenty-three years old.

Ever the sarcastic sweetheart, and certainly one for sass and showmanship on the football field, Miguel worked his way to what his teammates tease as his “icon status” through his unmistakable personality just as much as his athleticism. But that swagger does tend to sour when Lucero is losing and he has gotten in numerous spats with referees over “bad calls”, occasionally benched for his temper.
