Yafeu is one of Portugal’s most prominent fashion mogul’s and a designer for the global brand LAD ASTRA. He moved to Lisbon in his mid-twenties hoping to jumpstart his career as a photographer; soon after he met his now husband Renato who recognized Yafeu’s unique vision and irrefutable sense of style, pushing him to start designing clothes rather than just photographing them. Yafeu was a quick study and after a few years his reputation was booming. He and Renato married shortly thereafter.

While not necessarily a man of modesty, Yafeu has a genuine love for peace and quiet. He was admittedly disturbed when Renato first came home with giant living, breathing jaguar in tow, but eventually came around to her and even took to saying “she’s just like any other house cat at this point, just a lot bigger”.
